As part of Telstra's sponsorship program for the 2015 Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney, Lull Studios transformed two public city payphones into engaging discos for 1, 2 or more (as it turned out!). As public art installations, they’re all dreamy disco — but they come alive when you step inside. A full party is triggered. Lasers and animated party lights ignite, as does a special edit of Trammps’ Disco Inferno. And just as the vocal reaches burn, baby, burn, the smoke and haze kick in to complete the experience, making for the year’s best selfie op.
Lull Studios provided the conceptual and detailed design for #discoinfono, including development of custom electronics, lighting, sound design and all project graphics. We also supervised the fabrication and installation and managed the maintenance for the 2-week festival duration.
